The Hiking Boot Walk

A great circular walk of 12k to Point Lynas Lighthouse taking in Llaneilian Beach. The walk is over fields and along a rocky path and so appropriate walking boots are advised.

START - The collection of cottages that form the Plas Uchaf range.

With the old wooden notice board and Plas Uchaf sign on your left hand side, proceed out of the drive and down the lane . You will eventually reach a bend in the road of the Ty Newydd (Mulberry House) and the first stile is in front of you. This is marked as a footpath and takes you down the edge of a field keeping the wall to your right.

Continue down the field boundary until you reach the path that bens right and follows the line of the coast.

You continue over a series of stiles and bridges and over fields, always keeping the sea to your right. The views are fantastic looking back along the coastline of North Wales.

You will eventually climb quite steeply over a field and cut back towards the coast.

Point Lynas Lighthouse should eventually come in to view in front of you.

Once you reach the footpath that forms the drive to the lighthouse, turn left. You follow the lane down towards the beach at Llaneilian.

Take a left up the steep lane that leads away from the beach.

Take a laft turn and begin to head upwards steeply towards the sumit of Mynedd Eilian. The road beinds round to the right and then the left as it climbs, through the tiny hamlet of Pengorffwysfa.

Take a left turn to take you further up to the top of the steep hill towards the hamlet of Nebo.

Once you reach the crossroads, take a lef turn and follow the road until you reach the signs for Sage and Sea and back to where you began your walk.
