Anglesey Sea Kayak Symposium – 3rd – 10th May

Running for almost 30 years now, this symposium is able to cater for up to 150 participants. There will be a variety of guest instructors from all over the globe, as well as local paddlers, that can guide you safely around the wonderfully wild coastline of Anglesey and North Wales. The Food Slam - Bangor Pier - 8th May 

Great local food, drinks, crafts, local produce and live music. Buy your tickets on the gate. Adults £3. Concessions £2.50, children are free and dogs are welcome on a lead. A great event for all the family. Click here for more information. 

Anglesey Vintage Rally – 16th and 17th May

The Anglesey Vintage Rally returns to Anglesey Agricultural Ground. Experience vintage and restored agricultural equipment, buses, lorries, and construction equipment, as well as classic cars, vintage motorcycles, pedal cycles, and unique miniature engines. It’s a fun day out for those who like everything mechanical. Click here for information and times. 

Anglesey Trail Half Marathon – 17th May

Set in the beautiful surroundings of Newborough Forest this event if expected to attract over 500 runners. There is a great atmosphere on the beach and it’s worth a visit. See for yourself here.  

Race For Life – 17th May

The Race For Life in Caernarfon is a 5k open to everyone to raise money for a great cause. The route takes you along the Menai Strait with incredible views of the Snowdonia mountains and Caernarfon Castle. Adult entry is £14.99, child entry is £10 and children under 6 go free. Enter today

Birdwatching Trip to South Stack – 17th May

The RSPB have organised a trip to South Stack. The main destination is South Stack but there may also be an opportunity to see black guillemots at Holyhead harbour before going to see the auks and choughs on the sea cliffs. There will be a full range of hot and cold food available and it is recommended that you bring suitable clothing in case of changeable weather. Learn more here.

Anglesey Food Festival – 29th and 30th May

Anglesey Food Festival returns to showcase the best in Welsh produce at the Anglesey Agricultural ground. You can meet local fishermen, farmers and the best of local food and drink producers. You can also taste some great Welsh food, watch demonstrations and even have a go yourself. See what is on offer here

All Wales Boat and Leisure Show and Festival of Discovery also take place on the same date on the same site. It should be a  fun packed family festival with a jam-packed programme. You will have the chance to get out on the water, see range of exhibitors of all watersports, take part in bush-craft workshops, learn circus skills and have fun with science and maths, as well as explore your senses, bubble factories and folk music.

Great Strait Raft Run – 31st May

The hugely enjoyable Great Strait Raft Run returns for 202o. The challenging waters of the Menai Strait make for a exciting day of rafting and raising money for brilliant causes. Click here for information.
