Anglesey's "foodie" scene is growing all the time and with so many options when it comes to dining out, we thought you might find it beneficial to have a few tips on where to visit based on our own experiences. From fish and chips to Michelin starred restaurants, we have it all on Anglesey. 

The Tavern on the Bay

A gastropub, bridging the gap between an upmarket restaurant and a traditional tavern, the Tavern on the Bay offers a warm and welcoming environment with distinctive decor. It’s a great place to stop if you are walking along with brilliant beach at Red Wharf Bay.

Banc Cafe

Cemaes Heritage Centre houses a vintage style BANC café/bistro. The café is open 7 days a week, serving delicious cooked food, a cake of the day and barista coffee. The café gets its name from its former use as a Nat West Bank from the 1960s until Cwmni Cemaes Cyf purchased it. It’s a lovely spot to stop for lunch.

The Bay View Restaurant and Bar - The Gadlys Hotel

The hotel and restaurant has been extensively refurbished and offer a great lunch and dinner menu. It's fabulous views, family and dog friendly approach make it a great place to stop if you are visiting nearby Cemaes Bay or taking a walk. 

Ann's Pantry

Ann’s Pantry is a family run café and restaurant in the pretty nearby village of Moelfre.  They serve quality local produce in a relaxed atmosphere and in addition to their lunchtime menu, offer special themed evening dining throughout the summer months.

Simply Street

The New Kid on the Block. Bringing affoordable food and tasty cocktails to the area for 2020. This restaurant is newly opened and we keep hearing great things. 

The Bull Inn

You pass this family friendly pub in the main road as you drive from the Menai Bridge towards the cottages. Based in Pentraeth, The Bull Inn serves quality traditional pub food in a welcoming atmosphere and is a great place to stop for a pint after a long journey. 

Book a Cook

If you don't fancy dining out, why not Book a Cook. Experienced, creative chefs who will take over your kitchen and prepare anything from canapes throught to a 4 course meal. They will even wait on and clear away. You don't have to lift a finger. They have a tasty range of suggested menus available on their website. 

Cottage Food

They send you the menus or you let them know what you fancy eating. You order your meal. On the day, they prepare and cook your meal then deliver it to your door to pop in the oven and heat up. It couldn't be simpler. After all, who wants to be worrying about cooking? You are on your holidays!
